Frank Ocean brought a smooth swagger to the Met for his first time attending the Gala, rocking head to toe Givenchy. On the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala though, Strong flashed another hint at his interesting personal life. Texting is one thing, but this beautiful, strange relationship has transcended to a celebrity equivalent of sharing each other's clothes.
So when Jeremy Strong showed up to the Met Gala with a necklace from Frank Ocean's label, the friendship was not only solidified, but taken to the next level. Frank Ocean attends The Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute benefit gala celebrating the opening of the In America: An Anthology of Fashion. An apt response from one of the great rappers of this generation to another, really. The German designer, who died aged 85 in 2019, was best known for his work as the creative director of French fashion house Chanel, a position he held from 1983 until his death. Jeremy Strong revealed in an interview that, following the iconic "L to the OG" performance by Kendall in Season 2, Episode 8 of Frank Ocean texted him the words "L to the OG" and a crying face emoji. It's not weird, though they're friends! Or, at least, they have each other's phone numbers (in this day and age, I think that makes you friends).
